The intermittent pilot ignition conserves energy when the stove is not in use, while the flame sensor provides 100% gas shut-off if the pilot is not detected for enhanced safety. The direct vent system uses a coaxial flue pipe for efficient air intake and exhaust, making it one of the most efficient gas stoves available.
